It’s been one of the craziest summer travel seasons in recent memory — and we’re only at the beginning! Last month’s bookings on KOALA were up a whopping 22% over May, which shows that vacationers are more and more attracted to timeshare rentals as an alternative to traditional resorts. In fact, despite rampant price inflation in most segments of travel, your listings on KOALA remain very well priced, which is one reason they’re moving off the shelves. The average price per night actually went down slightly between May and June. 

Whether that’s a blip or a sign that prices overall are starting to plateau is hard to know, but we’ll report back next month! But our general advice remains the same: Price your listing a good 20% to 25% below what similar accommodations cost on retail prices (here’s a guide on how to do just that) and keep your cancellation policy as flexible as possible.

Bluegreen Vacations

As always, Bluegreen’s resorts in family-friendly, easy-to-drive-to destinations such as Myrtle Beach and the Ozarks, proved popular with travelers in June. Most of the bookings were for weeklong stays (Saturday to Saturday) but travelers also booked a few long weekends and mid-week stays as well.
