This year’s most desirable vacation attraction is awe-inspiring nature. We’re dreaming of wildflower-scented air, rushing rivers, and mountain vistas that make us feel small–in a good way. If you’re planning mountain getaways and looking for a luxurious launchpad for outdoor adventures, our timeshares will put you right in the foothills of some of the most picturesque mountain states in the country.

Colorado

The rugged, postcard-perfect peaks of the Colorado Rocky Mountains are like a balm after months of lockdown. Although the state is famous for its winter ski-scene, from glitzy Aspen to family-friendly Beaver Creek, the mountains are just as striking after the spring/summer thaw.

Hit miles of accessible hiking trails that will take you past crystalline lakes and over giant boulders, keeping your eyes peeled for elk, moose, marmots, and bighorn sheep.

At the Wyndham Resort in Avon, Colorado, top resort amenities include a complimentary shuttle to the city’s namesake slopes.

Where to stay

Wyndham Steamboat Springs: small-town hospitality and mountain lodge decor at the foot of Mt Werner. Steamboat Springs is known for its natural hot springs – perfect for a soak after a day of hiking or skiing.

Wyndham Resort at Avon: Roaring fireplaces warm each suite at this resort, located close to the slopes of Beaver Creek. In the summer, pack a picnic and ride the Strawberry Park Express chairlift to scenic Beaver Lake.

Hyatt Beaver Creek, Mountain Lodge: This Beaver Creek lodge is right in the heart of the action, close to Market Square’s new Center for the Arts and a year-round ice-skating rink.

Utah

Utah has some of the most striking landscapes in the whole country, including remarkable mountainous regions. In the north of the state, you’ll find the Rockies, including the Wasatch Mountains, which form a dramatic backdrop to the state’s most populous cities. Further south, ranges like the La Sal Mountains tower over the red rock of the Canyonlands and Arches National Parks.

The Wyndham Park City offers an unparalleled experience of Park City’s natural bounty in a setting of refined elegance and serene comfort.

Where to stay

Wyndham Park City: Plush accommodations in the heart of America’s largest ski resort: Park City. Enjoy pristine slopes for skiing in the winter and striking terrain for hiking or mountain biking in the summer.

Nevada

Arid Nevada is home to 150 mountain ranges, with over 1,787 named peaks (the highest of which is Boundary Peak at 13,130 ft). The state’s otherworldly, Mars-like landscape, is best observed at the Red Rock Canyon, near Las Vegas. A little further north, the grey limestone of La Madre Mountain offers a striking contrast. Pack plenty of water and savor the diversity of Nevada’s mountain desert landscapes.

The Wyndham Grand Desert is a Mediterranean-style vacation retreat just one mile from the Las Vegas Strip.

Where to stay:

Club 36: An art deco-styled abode with a covered pool and a casual rooftop, just a few blocks from the buzzy Las Vegas strip.

Hawaii

From the vegetation-swathed slopes of Kauai to the striking lava rock ranges of the Big Island’s Mauna Kea, the volcanic Hawaiian Islands boast some of the most beautiful and distinctive mountains in the United States. Many of these mountains, which are sacred to the Hawaiian people, feature in traditional hula songs and dances telling stories about these lands.

Set on pristine waterfront with the towering, verdant backdrop of Kauai’s Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge as a backdrop, the Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas put wild shores and staggering mountains at your fingertips.
